From Marseille-Provence Marignane Airport
Take the bus to "Gare Saint-Charles" train station (there is a shuttle bus every 20 minutes from 4:30 to 23:30, travel lasts about 30 minutes and costs around 9 €).

The main train station is called "Marseille Saint-Charles".
You may then choose :
a taxi to Luminy campus (distance 11km, costing from 35 to 45€ according to the time of day),
the subway, line 2 (red) direction Ste Marguerite-Dromel. Get off at the "Rond-Point du Prado" stop. (the subway works from 5:00 to 21:00) ;
then, using the same ticket (1,80 €), take bus number 21 to the terminus Luminy (every 15 minutes from 5:15 to 21:00 during the week - on Sunday, the last bus leaves at 21:10).
Travel lasts about 35 minutes. CIRM is then located 5 minutes away on foot from the bus stop.
Night bus (after 21:00): number 521 direct to the terminus "Campus universitaire de Luminy", timetable: 21:19*, 21:54, 22:34*, 23:09*, 0:24 (* except in July and August).

Two motorways give access to Marseille:
From the West (A55 "Littoral") or the North (A7), use the "tunnel à péage Prado-Carénage". The ticket costs about 3€ but saves a lot of time.
From the East (A50) exit at Marseille Centre, direction "La Capelette"
