| meetings
Meetings are held the whole year long, about varied
thematics, with groups gathering from 20 to 60
participants. Meetings usually last for a week; two long sessions
(5 to 6 weeks) are also organized.
Conferences, wich last about one hour, are held from monday to
friday, in room specifically designed for it. Lectures are
recorded, in order to be relayed on the website.
At the beginning of the week, participants receive a case
including several informations about their meeting, and about
tools and equipments offered by the CIRM.
Participants also receive a password, in order to have a
direct access to the network. Printers and photocopiers are available. |
Dates of the meetings are fixed by the scientific board, according
to those asked by organizers and available dates. |
| mini-meetings
Those meetings gather less than 20 people. They are held
in a room equiped with a blackboard and a overhead projector -
the "chapelle" (a medieval chapel) or a room of the annex
building.
Organizers must send a brief descriptive file to the director,
if possible three months before the begining of the meeting.
The CIRM can offer accomodation fees (excluding meals).
| small workgroups
Researchers can come to the CIRM to work in a small group of
2 to 5 people. They simply have to ask it two months in advance,
with mention of the theme of the work and the number of
participants. The CIRM can offer a part of accomodation fees.
